2025 서울국제음악제의 개최를 진심으로 축하드립니다.
임성준 위원장님을 비롯한 관계자 여러분, 그리고 세계 각국에서 참여하신 음악가 여러분께, 음악을 통한 교류증진을 평소에 기울여 주신 노력에 깊이 감사드립니다.
음악은 언어나 국경을 넘어 사람들의 마음을 잇는 힘을 지니고 있으며, 상호 이해의 초석이 되는 것입니다. 서울국제음악제가 한국과 전 세계 사람들 간의 교류를 촉진하는 소중한 기회를 제공하고 있는 데 대해 깊은 경의를 표합니다.
올해는 한일 국교정상화 60주년이라는 뜻깊은 해입니다. 이 특별한 해에 일본을 대표하는 작곡가 타케미츠 토오루(武満徹)의 비올라 협주곡 「A String Around Autumn」이 한국에서 처음으로, 또한 한국인 비올라 연주자 박하양 씨에 의해 연주되는 것은 양국의 문화적 유대를 상징하는 의미 있는 일이며, 미래에 대한 희망을느끼게 합니다.
올해 서울국제음악제가 한일 양국, 그리고 세계 사람들을 이어주고, 더 풍요로운 미래로 나아가는 계기가 되기를 진심으로 기원합니다.

２０２５ソウル国際音楽祭の開催を心よりお祝い申し上げます。
任晟準（イム・ソンジュン）委員長をはじめ関係者の皆様、並びに世界各国からご参加の音楽家の皆様に、日頃より音楽を通じた交流増進に尽力されていることに深く感謝申し上げます。
音楽は、言葉や国境を越えて人々の心をつなぐ力を持っており、相互理解の礎となるものです。ソウル国際音楽祭が、韓国と世界中の人々の交流を促進する貴重な機会を提供していることに、深い敬意を表します。
本年のソウル国際音楽祭が、日韓両国、そして世界の人々をつなぎ、より豊かな未来につながる契機となることを心より祈念いたします。

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 2025 Seoul International Music Festival.
I wish to express my sincere appreciation to Chairman YIM Sung-Joon, to all those involved in organizing this event, and to the musicians from around the world for their continued efforts to promote exchanges through music.
Music possesses a profound ability to connect people’s hearts across languages and national boundaries, serving as a foundation for mutual understanding. I hold deep respect for the Seoul International Music Festival, which serves as a valuable platform for promoting exchanges between the people of Korea and the international community.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and the ROK. In this commemorative year, “A String Around Autumn” —a viola concerto composed by the distinguished Japanese composer Mr. TAKEMITSU Toru— is to be performed for the first time in Korea by Korean violist Ms. PARK Hayang. This profoundly symbolic occasion reflects the cultural ties between our two nations and evokes a sense of hope for the future.
It is my sincere hope that this year’s Seoul International Music Festival will serve as a bridge connecting Japan, Korea, and the international community, and become a catalyst for a more enriched and harmonious future.
